RJA #3b: Narrowing Research Topic

I think that with a topic such as Affirmative Action, I would like to narrow my research rather than broaden it, because there are many ways in which the direction of this paper can go. I would like to discuss the controversy that the opposing audience has with promoting affirmative action in educational and employment affairs. Why they feel that it is another form of discrimination. I would also like to address the supporting argument in having opportunities available to the minority public of highly intellectual individuals who have felt the disadvantages of their couterparts. I think that learning about many sides of the controversy will lead me to better forming a thesis statement in which will lead my paper in the direction I choose to take it.
